| Brief | Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, EDF, the second most visited company in France, had to cancel their pedagogical visits inside the power stations. To educate the young audience about the importance of low carbon energy production, we needed to find another way to make a tour. How ? By bringing them to their world, into the metaverse. And one in particular : Microsoft Flight Simulator. With 2 Million gamers, the game is a replica of our world, allowing people to discover virtually any area of the world aboard a plane, without emitting CO2 like a real flight.The game is so realistic that each EDF power station is present andperfectly modelised, like the Serre-Ponçon dam. That’s how we created the firstEDF virtual tour in Flight Simulator, helping the young audience to discoverhow EDF is addressing the climate crisis with electricity. |
