In a few words, can you tell us who you are and what your job title is?
I take care of the line producing part of the job, schedules, budgets, meetings with the team to build the project before start shooting, on set i help to make things easier for everybody involved on the film.I am a Producer
Did you have a dream job as a child, and if so, what was it?
I did have so many dreams job as a kid. From vet to teacher. but all had in common help others
What project are you most of proud of working on and why?
The short film Lighter and Cigarettes. We made it on several film festival but the biggest one was Cannes.
It was a lowbudget movie shot in few days with all students. We worked reallyhard to make it happen and we did
Did you have a mentor at one point in your life and how did that person help guide you?
Richard D'Angelo. He was my teacher in New York, he trusts me, and he believed in me. He shows me to prioritise the schedule and the budget, to know what how to work as a team
Is there a band or an artist that you listen to the most during the work week to help you relax and stay motivated and if so, what is it?
There are many, and it always depends on my mood. I listen to a lot of Spanish bands ( I am from Spain) and some internationals bands, sometimes is indie other is salsa and if its rainy Bossa nova
If you had a chance to be President or King for a day and could enact any rule into law, what would it be?
Acces to high quality free public education
What do you think is the most underappreciated aspect of your role in your company?
Producers make things happen, sometimes we have to be severe and cut some budget or ideas thinking on the final product. That sometimes makes us look as the "bad guy"
What is the biggest challenge that production service companies have in working with clients?
Sometimes I feel the relationship between clients and producers is seen as a cordial fight, both parts try to win little battles. It is not a battle. Both parts are there to help each other
What is your favorite part about being on-set during location shoots?
The vibe. The stress when something is not working, the happiness when it does. You can learn a lot from both situations. Seeing how people react, how they solve problems and feeling proud of a team of people.
What is your favorite thing that you get to do at your job in a typical work week?
Connections with people, networking with other professionals
