Denver-based creative studio Legwork recently hired Bret Harris to lead business development. Bret is an entrepreneur and business development strategist who maintains a passion for working with companies that are positively impacting the world.
With nearly two decades spent in high growth tech startups, Bret has worked with some of the nation's largest athletic governing bodies and Fortune 500s. In 2012 he founded PaddleFest—a professional paddleboard race and event festival in partnership with the non-profit Urban Surf 4 Kids to help raise funds for foster youth. Bret also served as Head of Business Development at Indiegogo, where he focused on establishing innovative partnerships with global leaders such as Ingram Micro, Target, Amazon, Vimeo, Arrow Electronics and more to provide necessary resources and support to help entrepreneurs bring their projects to life.
Bret will focus on proactively finding and developing new business opportunities while providing feedback and guidance on the company’s overall growth strategy. He’s thrilled to join Legwork: “Throughout my career, I’ve only sought to work at companies I love and with people who are making a difference in the world. I couldn’t be more excited to join the incredibly talented team at Legwork. Their uncompromising passion for storytelling and unique ability to create authentic and innovative experiences is both inspiring and humbling, and I can’t wait to help them reach the masses.”
Legwork applies animation and technology to create memorable stories and experiences for advertising, entertainment and education. Bret joins Joey Bullock, Chris Grey, Aaron Ray and Matt Wiggins, the leadership team—all old friends who met through shared interests in skateboarding, snowboarding, music and enjoying the finer things of life (read: beer) in Denver.
