Digital Agency Grow Taps Jason Sutterfield as Head of Production
Norfolk, Virginia-based independent digital creative agency Grow, the multiple Cannes Lions-winning agency, has tapped industry veteran Jason Sutterfield as its Head of Production. Grow is a partner to some of the world’s most pioneering brands like Google, HBO, Burberry, NBC and Adult Swim, creating digital experiences, products and interactive installations. Notable recent projects include Window Wonderland for Google Shopping and Madden GIFERATOR for EA Sports, as part of Google’s Art, Copy & Code initiative.
“We partner with brands to create world-class digital marketing from strategy to execution, and production is a cornerstone discipline of that service—from excellence in craft to timely, on-budget delivery,” said Drew Ungvarsky, CEO and ECD. “Jason’s incredible background and wealth of experience improves our ability to continue delivering work that sets the bar in the industry.”
In his new role, Jason will manage the production team and oversee all of Grow’s work, from acquisition to delivery. He will also be responsible for working and collaborating with other company leaders within the creative, technology and strategy teams in order to contribute to the company’s success.
“What attracted me to Grow is their high standard for creating work that sets a new digital precedent and forces the entire industry forward,” said Jason Sutterfield. “I’m excited to be working with the Grow team to produce work for some of the world’s most exciting brands – I’ve always admired their work with Google and Burberry. And as a former resident of Virginia, it was exciting to return to an agency here that’s so passionate about the work that they do in support of the local creative community.”
Prior to joining Grow, Jason was VP, Strategic Technology Solutions at Advertising Production Resources (APR). Jason was also formerly Partner, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Production & Technology at Campfire in New York City. During his time at Campfire, Jason helped lead the agency to be named OMMA’s Small Agency of the Year, and was a recipient of AdAge’s Campaign of the Year for their work on HBO’s Game of Thrones. Jason has been featured in Profile Magazine, Direct Marketing News’ “40 Under 40” and Adweek’s “Young Influential 20 Under 40.” He is also a Member and Executive Producer in the Producers Guild of America (P.G.A.)
