NEW YORK, January 5, 2016 —Time Inc.’s inVNT, a global brand communications agency, announced today that Doug Richter has joined the company as Managing Director, Global Partnerships, reporting to Scott Cullather, Global Managing Partner of inVNT. Richter, most recently Director of Partnership Marketing at Karlitz & Company, will be based in New York.

“Doug is a dynamic business development executive with a record of developing strategic partnerships and marketing platforms that drive revenue for brands and properties,” says Cullather. “Doug truly embodies inVNT’s challenger spirit. His strategic creativity, combined with years of industry knowledge, will help inVNT continue to create, develop and produce powerful, brand-centered live experiences for its global partners.”

At Karlitz & Company Richter built the sponsorship division for the event agency. Within two years he closed more than 65 sponsorship and media deals that funded four world-class culinary festivals. He was involved in creating high-touch event programs for financial services clients in the worlds of food, wine, sports and entertainment.

Previously, Richter spent more than ten years as a marketing executive in the music industry, including as Director of Online Marketing for Wherehouse Music. He also spent many years as a top-producing commercial real estate advisor at Sperry Van Ness.

Richter recently joined the Advisory Board of AboutFest, a consulting company that produces an industry conference called FestForward, which brings together the leaders of the nation’s top music, food, wine and film festivals.
