OLSON WINS SEVEN HOW INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARDS
The unprecedented number of awards celebrates remarkable work
Olson, a division of ICF Olson, announced it won seven prestigious HOW International Design Awards, a rare feat among the world’s best designers and the most-ever for the agency. The winning entries spanned five categories, four different clients, and included work Olson had done on its own behalf – a true indication of its boundless momentum.
The HOW International Design Award recognizes excellence in design on a global scale. Olson’s work competed against entries from 33 countries around the world. For more than 15 years, the respected award has been an opportunity for established and up-and-coming designers to showcase their work to an international audience of peers.

Olson won in the 3D Category for its design of “Skye” for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. Skye is a mascot that embodies the brand’s new mission and introduces people to the brand in a fun, experiential way.
The agency won twice in the Editorial Category with the Polaris Brand Book and the Sharp Brand Book. Both books set the foundation for the future of the brands.
The Olson creative team’s inspired design for Wet ‘N Wild’s LaLaLand cosmetics won in the Packaging Category. The packaging reflected the brand’s Los Angeles roots and appealed to a new audience.
The design of the invitation to Olson’s North by Midwest event and its own holiday card won in the Invitations and Announcements Category.
Finally, Olson took home a win in the Environmental Category for its work on Noslo, the agency’s holiday celebration. The design incorporated pop art with a Studio 54 vibe.
