The founders of Stopp UK, Anna Crona and Maria Tamander, have gained independence from the Stopp Family network to take full control of Stopp UK which will be renamed Crona Tamander & Co.
Anna Crona, the co-founder and chief executive, and Maria Tamander, co-founder and executive producer, founded Stopp UK as the Stockholm network’s fourth global office in 2014. They have both independently owned the agency since its foundation.
Since then, Crona and Tamander have grown the company’s client base, which includes Adidas, Oakley and Orlebar Brown, and boosted the offering to cover digital, interactive and content production.
The company, which will be focusing predominantly on the retail and consumer goods industry, will also offer strategic consultancy on marketing, planning, CRM/loyalty and digital/ecommerce.
Anna Crona, who is the former marketing director for IKEA UK and Ireland, and Maria Tamander, the ex founder of mod:film and Milkyway Productions, are joined on the core management team by Markus Weichselbaumer, a former account director at Stopp Family. Weichselbaumer, who is the ex deputy marketing director for IKEA Austria and CRM/loyalty director for IKEA UK and Ireland, takes the role of account manager/interactive producer at Crona Tamander & Co.
From January 2016, Crona Tamander & Co will operate as an independent integrated production company, entirely separately from the Stopp Family network which has recently merged with MediaMonks.
Anna Crona said: “Since Maria and I established Stopp UK, our client base has grown organically in a direction that is different from the focus of Stopp Family. Our new independence will allow us to continue evolving as we have done so far, but with the ability to provide a broader and more competitive offering for our clients.”
