Toyota Finland is pre-launching the Toyota C-HR, a new car model, in Helsinki at the Flow Festival (12-14 August 2016). The Toyota C-HR will make its first appearance during its short visit to Finland. Saatchi & Saatchi Finland have collaborated with Toyota to prove Nothing Is Impossible, by creating the world’s largest Selfie-Stick.
Flow Festival is a major event on the global festival calendar, with international artists including Sia, Massive Attack and Iggy Pop.
Forbes went so far as to question “Is this the world’s most cool music festival?” It’s so cool that selfie-sticks are banned at the festival, because they’re obstructive in crowded places. So Saatchi & Saatchi Finland addressed the problem of creating amazing Selfie’s without a personal selfie-stick, whilst at the same time showcasing the new Toyota C-HR to the festival crowd.
They came up with the Amazing Super-Selfie-Stick, a 17 meter tall, hyper-real selfie-stick, equipped with a giant 4 meter wide smart phone containing a super-zoom camera and huge screen. The stick is supported by a column that is covered with mirrors to make it invisible to the naked eye. The Amazing Super-Selfie-Stick will be the world’s largest Selfie-Stick – the Guinness World Record is reviewing the idea - situated on the festival site so that revelers can capture their presence at the event, with the vast crowds and stage behind them.
The Super-Selfie can potentially capture some 10,000 people, which will make it easily the world's widest selfie capturing a record-breaking amount of people (the previous world record for the widest Selfie was set in 2014 and contained 1,151 people.)
The installation of the Amazing Super-Selfie-Stick at Flow Festival will be the in many ways the biggest real-life marketing event in Europe for the new Toyota C-HR.
