Philosophy Apple subsidiary FileMaker and global digital creative production company MediaMonks worked together to give a humorous spin on why you should use the workplace innovation platform. The ‘Innovation Without the Hype’ campaign features six short films that underscore how the FileMaker ecosystem of training, support, and outsourcing can empower innovation in the workplace. In the films, two main characters carry the stories: the Extreme Innovator and the Problem Solver. Both are in a pitch-off, presenting ideas for executives’ consideration in a series of board room scenarios. In ‘Whale Music,’ a man-bunned executive interrupts the woman explaining FileMaker as a great solution with whale noises, stating that’s how the world’s biggest mammals communicate with their teams over long distances, which prompts others to do their own whale sounds. The same Extreme Innovator suggests in another spot that body language is the universal way to communicate and leads the rest of the boardroom in ridiculous poses. In ‘Yoga Balls’ the Innovator says rather than balance the budgets with squeaky yoga balls rather than FileMaker. Three additional films will be released over the next two months.
