Pepsi lights up people’s life
Power is so expensive in Philippines that a lot of families can’t afford to have light whereas their homes and slums are very dark. Working in partnership with institutions and associations, Pepsi has turned its old plastic bottles into free light bulbs that refract sunlight into a 55W light source, just in filling them with water and install them in a hold on the roof. The project was so successful, with volunteers and 20.000 bulbs set up that it has been awarded and runs now in other countries.
