Luggage brand Arlo Skye releases new spot: Beyond Repair with Director Paul Riccio https://www.adforum.com/production/6670359/press-releases/69887/luggage-brand-arlo-skye-releases-new-spot-beyond-repair-with-director-paul-riccio https://www.adforum.com/production/6670359/press-releases/69887/luggage-brand-arlo-skye-releases-new-spot-beyond-repair-with-director-paul-riccio Circumventing traditional ad platforms, the digitally-native brand will launch Beyond Repair exclusively on Facebook & Instagram

60 second: https://vimeo.com/231209405/dde231ec8f

Created in collaboration with the creative team at Arlo Skye, Riccio’s tongue-in-cheek, dialogue-driven spot playfully satirizes our love affairs with our favorite pieces of luggage, while suggesting a stellar alternative when a beloved old standby is finally put out to pasture. Beyond Repair celebrates the relationship we develop with our possessions over time, and serves as a clever ode to the ways in which we understand ourselves through our belongings, new and old.

“It’s a great script, playing off a classic movie with some good laughs. We’re having fun with the subject of travel—which is so often bland—while adhering to a real story and a strong concept," shares director Paul Riccio.

Just under a year old, Arlo Skye is no stranger to using film in its digital advertising initiatives to drive brand awareness, which ultimately translates to online sales. In less than 10 months, Arlo Skye’s first ad, titled Sit, speak but don’t stay, has over 250K views on Facebook, with 500 organic shares, a Facebook relevance score of 9/10, and an ad-spend ROI with a 7 day conversion window of 4-6X.

“It takes more than just a great product to build a great brand,” says Mayur Bhatnagar, co-founder and CEO of Arlo Skye. “The best brands question culture to ultimately create community. We question culture through design, art and film.”

Founded by Louis Vuitton and Tumi alums, the brand released an award-winning carry-on in November 2016, and a larger size in September 2017. By circumventing the traditional wholesale channels and selling direct-to-consumer, Arlo Skye provides a superior product to many of the world’s best-known brands at an accessible price. The Carry-On retails for $550 and The Check-In retails for $395 on https://arloskye.com.

Beyond creating luxury travel pieces that appeal to discerning and design-obsessed consumers, Arlo Skye has boldly innovated beyond traditional marketing and advertising models. Today, the digitally-native brand almost exclusively leverages advertising on Facebook and Instagram to drive awareness and sales. Specifically, Arlo Skye arbitrages the algorithm prioritization that Facebook gives to film with high relevancy scores for its top of funnel marketing initiatives.

“Brands today must think like media companies–constantly create compelling content to compete for attention on Facebook and Instagram,” says Mayur Bhatnagar, Co-Founder and CEO of Arlo Skye. “Storytelling will never die, but the mediums through which we consume content—and the algorithms powering those mediums—will continue to change.”

“It was truly a pleasure collaborating with Paul and his team,” comments Daniel Marrero, Partner, Creative Director at CreativeOndemanD.  “It was obvious from the onset that Paul's category experience, enthusiasm and his vision in making this spot the best it could possibly be, would give us a fun and effective final product.”

Everyone having one direction and one goal: to make something really great and entertaining,” says Riccio.

Riccio’s collaborative spirit and joy for the business make him a great fit at TPSC. “It was evident when I met everyone at TPSC that they have a real handle on the industry, where it's headed and where the opportunities lie,” explains Riccio. “It's just not about shooting :30 commercials anymore. Hasn't been for awhile. Whether it’s for the internet or something that'll run exclusively on the back of an airliner seat - wherever it is, whatever it is, it’s all the same. You start with a great idea and endeavor to execute it perfectly. I’m glad to be with a company that has a firm grasp on this ever-shifting space. They just "get it," ends Riccio.

Ensemble comedy-drama DIVINE ACCESS to World Premiere at the prestigious Sarasota Film Festival and trinity of other fests https://www.adforum.com/production/6670359/press-releases/44329/ensemble-comedy-drama-divine-access-to-world-premiere-at-the-prestigious-sarasota-film-festival-and-trinity-of-other-fests https://www.adforum.com/production/6670359/press-releases/44329/ensemble-comedy-drama-divine-access-to-world-premiere-at-the-prestigious-sarasota-film-festival-and-trinity-of-other-fests Film will also have its Texas premiere at The Dallas International Film Festival, WorldFest-Houston and West Coast Spotlight premiere at the Newport Beach Film Festival.

TPSC Films is pleased to announce the World Premiere and Trinity of notable festival screenings for the upcoming Steven Chester Prince film Divine Access.

The film stars Billy Burke (Revolution, Twilight series) and an all-star ensemble including Gary Cole (Veep, Pineapple Express, Talladega Nights), Patrick Warburton (Ted, Family Guy, Rules of Engagement), Joel David Moore (Avatar, Savages), Sarah Shahi (Bullet to the Head, Person of Interest), Dora Madison (Dark Places, Friday Night Lights), Barak Hardley (Raising Hope, Community) and Adrienne Barbeau (Argo).

The script, written by Steven Chester Prince, John A. O'Connell and Michael Zagst sees Billy Burke’s Jack Harriman becoming an instant spiritual celebrity after humiliating Gary Cole’s Reverend Guy Roy Davis on a public-access TV show. While on the road speaking his brand of truth, forces both natural and supernatural lead him to question whether he has a deeper calling.

The Sarasota Film Festival, one of the fastest growing and most visible regional film festivals, will premiere Divine Access in competition this April. "We're excited to have the World Premiere of Divine Access at this year's Sarasota Film Festival,” says Michael Dunaway, Director of Programming for Sarasota Film Festival. “Steve Prince shows that he's not just a pretty faced actor, or an accomplished producer -- he's a damned fine director as well. The loose, Big Lebowski-meets-Life of Brian vibe is sure to resonate with our audience, and of course the film has a lot on its mind beneath all the craziness. It's one of my favorite films in this year's lineup."

Shot in Austin, TX the film holds true to its roots with a special screening at The Dallas International Film Festival and in competition at the 48th annual WorldFest-Houston Film Festival, where it has also been nominated for a prestigious REMI award.

West Coast premiere will be held late April at The Newport Beach Film Festival where it screens as one of only ten coveted spotlight films. "We're extremely excited to have DIVINE ACCESS as a part of our Friday Night Spotlight program, both for its strong ties to Newport Beach through natives like Kevin Matusow and Patrick Warburton and because it's one of the funniest films we screened this year," says Max Naylor, Director of Features Programming for Newport Beach Film Festival.

The director, producers, writers, and select starring cast members will attend each festival.

Director Steven Chester Prince is no stranger to the big screen. He has been an active member of the industry for two decades as a writer, producer, actor, and stuntman. “The response has been incredible. I can't wait to get it in front of the audiences at these great festivals,” says Prince.

Divine Access was lensed by Julie Kirkwood and produced by The Traveling Picture Show Company's Kevin Matusow, Carissa Buffel and Steven Chester Prince, Blackball Entertainment’s Billy Burke, and Terry G. Jones. Executive producing are Clay Glendenning and Jeff Way for G-Men Media.

Julian’s persistent attention to detail and pursuit of life’s wonderful idiosyncrasies make him a real actors’ director. "Julian’s funny, quirky, unconventional sensibilities are a perfect fit for the TPSC roster. We’re very excited to have him join our family,” says Executive Producer John Noble.

Julian takes each project to unexpected directions, creating thoughtful films that always honor the story and capture the nuances of the characters. “It all starts with great preparation. You think about the core idea and branch from there,” says Julian. “It’s a two part progression; idea, performance and the visual style,” he continues. His style is often riotously funny, expressive and visually gorgeous all at the same time. “It’s a fine line between absurd and clever. In other words, controlled pandemonium,” he finishes.

Since launching his career, Julian has collaborated with major players such as Black & Decker, Eastpak, VW, Above The Influence, MTV, Nokia and Time Out. Before becoming a director he was a highly successful agency creative, which enabled him to flourish with some of the world’s most creative minds, and positioned him to work with mega brands and music companies worldwide. His agency pedigrees have proven invaluable to his directing.

“I was drawn to TPSC because of John Noble. His reputation precedes him in the ad industry as a solid, smart guy, not to mention, he’s extremely nice,” says Julian. “He has huge ambitions and great understanding of both advertising and production. At the helm of a great shop is a visionary EP.” Julian later continues, “I also like the idea of joining a company where my style of comedy will stand out. TPSC also works in long form, which I am interested in, in terms of shorts, TV and features. It’s important in this ever-changing industry to have these options.”

“The partners at TPSC match our enthusiastic work ethic and all have such great personal integrity,” says Stephen. “It’s also fantastic to be working with John Noble. We also admire the genuine time TPSC puts into the relationship-side of the business. Like us, they have the same grounded respect for people - from creatives to crew - to cultivate the highest level of creativity.”

Kids at heart, KN+SAW have been working jointly in commercial advertising for the past 10+ years. They’ve honed their techniques, inspiring actors to reveal core emotions that register as authentic on screen. They have an approachable down-to-earth manner, which lends itself to collaborative problem solving and bringing people together. Constantly bouncing ideas off each other, they focus on the agencies’ vision and solutions flow.

From large projects to small, they handle each production with the same amount of grace and attention to detail. Recent clients include Burger King, Elmers, Walmart, Huggies and Pull-Ups, as well as a web series for long time client, Yoga Journal. In addition, they teamed up on campaigns with agencies such as Pitch, SBC Advertising, Wunderman, Ogilvy, Leo Burnett, JWT and Saatchi & Saatchi. Their work has also been featured in industry magazines such as Communication Arts, Photo District News, HOW and Print.

KN+SAW are also still photographers, combining motion and still keeps them active on sets around the globe. They understand the craft and know the technicalities of lighting. They also possess a natural instinct for how to move the camera to allow the scene evolve naturally. “Our goal is to always create smart pieces for good people. Shooting spots has brought so many wonderful, creative people into our lives. Our success is directly built from these relationships. We are thrilled about where we are headed and always excited to discover the scenes we will be directing next,” says Stephen.

Shot in Beijing, China Andrews’ futuristic vision, high key light and the use of unique and clever camera moves made this action spot even more special. The concept featuring NBA Miami Heat Champion Dwyane Wade and his sacred #3, was to capture the drama and action of 3 seconds maintained consistently throughout a gripping 30-seconds. "We had to dominate the second," says TPSC Director Andrews Jenkins. “From Wade's moves on the court to the frozen 3 seconds of fan insanity. And as the director, it's that mysterious notion I wanted to visually capture in a way we haven't seen before.”
