About me

Cabell Harris is known as one of the advertising industry's most creative problem solvers. After working at The Martin Agency and serving as a creative director at agencies like Livingston and Keye, Hill Holliday, and Chiat/Day, Cabell founded WORK in 1994. He designed the shop as an agency for agencies. Agencies that have hired WORK include Fallon, Chiat Day, BBDO and McCann Erickson. In the past few years, WORK has had the opportunity to do projects for name-brand clients such as Exxon, Sears, Nestle, British Petroleum and Miller Brewing.

In 1999, Cabell expanded his staff in order to pursue clients of his own, and soon WORK went on to land national accounts like USA Weekend magazine, Kendall-Jackson Winery, The Princeton Review, and Burly Bear Network, a TV network aired nationally on college campuses. In February 1999, WORK joined Ogilvy & Mather's Syndicate, a consortium of seven of the nation's hottest creative shops who assist Ogilvy with new business pitches as well as campaigns for existing clients. In 2001, the agency joined forces with Richmond's Just Partners, which brought its strategic and business expertise, its client roster and its highly motivated staff. With these valuable additions, WORK is well on its way to becoming the smallest large agency in the world. Cabell's work has been recognized in every major industry award show including Cannes, the Clios, the One Show, New York Addys, Art Directors Club, British Design and Art Direction, Effies and Communication Arts. Both Adweek and Winners magazine have named him one of the top 10 creatives in the nation.
