Philosophy Running an advertising awards show is a highly competitive business, with upwards of thirty international competitions competing for a share of an ad agency’s ever decreasing entry fee budget. An Award show is only as good as its judges, and this is where LIA excels. Each year LIA gathers a stellar line up of the world’s most celebrated creatives for a week of judging. They also run a LIAisons program to run concurrently, giving 100 up-and-coming creatives up close and personal access to these industry legends. To promote this and encourage more entries, LIA commissioned Don’t Judge Me, a podcast series that coincided with the tenth anniversary of LIAIsons. Each episode featured a high-profile judge answering ten (often personal) questions supplied by LIAIson delegates. The first episode featured a selection of highlights as a teaser for the series, which was promoted via LIA’s extensive global database of agency creatives. This series has contributed to an increase in entries and confirmed LIA’s status as one of advertising’s top 5 global award shows.
