At the age of 21 and after graduating from the European Business School, Arthur Sadoun left for Chile where he founded his own advertising agency which was later sold to the BBDO network. Returning to France in 1997, he completed an MBA at INSEAD and joined TBWA/Paris where he became successively Managing Director and CEO at the age of 30. In December 2006, he joined the Publicis Groupe as CEO of Publicis Conseil then in 2009, he was appointed CEO of Publicis France. In April 2011, he was named Managing Director of Publicis Worldwide and in addition to his responsibilities as CEO of Publicis France, he oversaw Western Europe, as well as all worldwide strategic planning and creative. In October 2013, Arthur Sadoun was named CEO of Publicis Worldwide, joining Publicis Groupe’s executive committee. In December 2015 he was named CEO of Publicis Communications, Publicis Groupe’s creative hub composed of the Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis Worldwide, BBH, MSLGROUP and Prodigious networks and counting nearly 30,000 employees.
His appointment as Chairman & CEO of Publicis Groupe, succeeding Maurice Lévy, was announced in 2017. Arthur Sadoun officially takes on this role June 1, 2017, making him the 3rd leader of Publicis Groupe in its 91 years of existence after the founder Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet and Maurice Lévy, who took the Groupe to incredible heights throughout his 30 years of leadership.
