Gaston Legorburu sets the strategic and creative vision for SapientNitro and its multi-channel marketing and commerce services. He has a passion for bringing big ideas and creative thinking to the table, and has been instrumental in expanding SapientNitro’s digital services to the offline realm and landing several agency-of-record relationships with Fortune 500 clients, such as Unilever, Chrysler, and Coca-Cola’s Powerade.
Legorburu has been a driving force in the evolution of the interactive marketing business since co-founding Planning Group International (PGI), which was acquired by Sapient in 2006. Since then, he has grown SapientNitro to become the largest independent interactive agency and racked up nine Cannes awards in the process.  In 2009, Sapient purchased above-the-line ad shop Nitro Group, best know for the “Best Job in the World” campaign for Tourism Queensland.
Throughout his career, Legorburu has spearheaded some of the most successful online campaigns in the history of the Internet.  He has partnered with clients in a variety of industries including travel and leisure, financial services and food service among others.
He has helped these clients gain unparalleled insights into effectively marketing their products and services in today’s increasingly complex marketplace.  Legorburu continues to provide clients with forward-thinking answers to overcome their critical business challenges.
Widely recognized as an industry thought leader, Legorburu is frequently quoted in leading media outlets such as AdWeek, Advertising Age, Bloomberg News, Fast Company, and The Wall Street Journal, among others, and is a member of TED.  In addition, Legorburu is a highly sought after speaker and panelist who has appeared at notable industry events such as AdForum and Ad:Tech.  Legorburu’s blog, www.cmorants.com , offers new insight and fresh ideas on a variety on marketing, branding and interactive trends and issues.
