Story | Creative idea: Jottings on the pages of newspaper Diena (The Day) leisure supplement Izklaide are a non-traditional form of advertising, never before seen in Latvia. Newspaper margins are one of those places people use to note things they must remember. They are closer to the person, their thoughts and mood, closer to the family situation than the paper's main text. Newspaper margins are the place for human news, for what is important. These various jottings in various forms reminded the reader how cheap, fast and simple it is to subscribe to Diena. |
Philosophy | Message: marginal notes were a non-traditional form of advertising, never before seen in Latvia the original use of newspaper margins guaranteed the message would by seen by the whole of the target audience and what is more, the media costs were 0 |
