TitleDream (330s)
BriefTo the lyrics of "I Dreamed A Dream" from Les Miserables, we see a series of animals who are doing fine until humans begin destroying everything. A young pelican is ready to fly until he is stuck in oil. The whales are gentle giants ill-equipped to combat mankind despite their size. A rhino baby plays happily with his mother, until he sees that she is about to die because of her horn. And the childlike innocence of seals is shattered when the hunters arrive.

Story This film shows four animal species in their habitats and how human interference alters the path of life and dreams of these.
Problem "Dream" was created to promote the WCFF but also to help bringing awareness to this great cause. Since the beginning we wanted to touch people in an emotional way so the audience could feel like a rollercoaster of emotions - first getting involved with the animals until the humans arrive and start destroying everything. So we made a large research to find the right designs for the characters to pass this emotional feeling and always avoiding bloody and gore scenes. Another important thing was to find the best animals profiles to match the lyrics of the known song "I dreamed a dream" from Les Miserables. So another detailed research was made having the Pelican representing a teenager that is young, wants freedom and has wings to fly until sees itself stuck in the oil. The wales represent a couple that have been living on Earth for ages and even tough they are huge animals, there is nothing to be done to fight against humans. The rhinos present the family, having the baby playing around with his mon until the baby sees that the mon is about to die because of a horn. And finally with have the seals representing the innocence of a child. They are playful and haven't had contact with evil things until the hunters arrive.
