It’s increasingly difficult to deliver headlines today. To cut through and engage with your audience you have to provoke interest in a creative and exciting way. A successful PR & Marketing Director with 15 years of practical communications and strategic experience within the global creative industries, I founded my own consultancy - Hooton - to provide fame planning and creative PR to give companies and individuals the engagement and recognition they deserve. At Hooton we work globally with a range of exciting companies and talented individuals, including 72andSunny Amsterdam, UNIT9, London Strategy Unit, BETC Paris & London, Converse, new hotel brand Zoku and photographer Sophie Ebrard. I have provided strategic PR counsel for clients such as Coca-Cola, Ubisoft, Heineken, Booking.com, Powerade, Nike, EA Games, Converse, evian, Air France, Peugeot, Canal+, on a global, regional and local level. As Head of PR I worked closely with the Amsterdam and global management teams to ensure that W+K Amsterdam has the very best reputation externally and internally. I leveraged the agency’s work, the people, and the culture across media, events, awards and the agency’s interactive platforms to do so.

* Set up a PR strategic consultancy offering for clients for Booking.com, Heineken and Coca-Cola. Consulted on over 15 campaign launches, managed events, produced PR kits, managed a PR agency pitch and went on to manage the winning PR agency.
* Worked across over 40 global, regional and local campaign launches, providing strategic counsel and managing the W+K PR team to deliver ad trade coverage around the world, for clients such as Coca-Cola, Levi's, EA Games, Heineken, Booking.com, Powerade, BASF and Nike.
* Partnered with the City of Amsterdam set up the Amsterdam Salon, a business network platform for expats and Dutch professionals.

As the Communications Director of BETC Paris I was responsible for the external and internal image of the agency, managing a team of 6, employing a mix of PR, events, awards, marketing and content to do so. BETC Paris is the largest and most creative advertising agency in France, with 700 employees. Accounts include evian, Air France, Lacoste, Canal+, Peugeot.

During my time at BETC Paris I led the PR push around the evian Rollerbabies campaign of 2009. The film is now famously the most viewed online ad of all time, achieving unprecedented press coverage. The ad was featured in The Guardian, NBC, ABC, Fox News, Le Figaro, Le Monde, and was named TIME Magazine’s ad of the year.

D&AD is an educational charity that represents the global creative community, setting industry standards through the Global Awards.
As Awards Deputy Director I managed the marketing and development of all aspects of the Awards Programme with a team of 4, contributing £3.5 million to D&AD. My principal mission during my 3 years was the management of the Global Awards Call For Entries (CFE), whose revenue increased by 45% (over £1 million) in 3 years.

shots is a bi-monthly magazine for the international creative industries, showcasing the best, current international work.
At shots I worked on the marketing of all shots products, from the DVD and magazine subscription, shots Online, to directories and bespoke reels. I was responsible for planning, creative management, budgeting, the management of telesales, and reporting on each campaign. I also organised and promoted all shots events, including screenings in London, New York, Tokyo, Warsaw and Paris, and the annual party at the Cannes Lions festival
