About me

In my role at the AAR I help brands find the right agency partners for their ever evolving digital marketing needs. I do this by working closely with heads of digital, social and content to evaluate their current agency eco-systems and look at how to optimise them. Current questions like – how do I get the best from social? Is my content marketing working? Do I need a better user experience? Should I be insourcing? Are all top of mind with many of the brands in work with.

As AAR's Business Director for Digital and Innovation, I sit at the fascinating intersection of CMOs and marketing services agencies. I am deeply connected to what today's senior marketing leaders are thinking and doing about their digital strategies as well as what the agency community is offering in this fast changing area.

I spend 50% of my time advising the world's leading brands on their digital transformation projects and working with them to assess their marketing partner requirements.

I spend the other 50% of my time with the senior leadership of leading UK agencies and consultancies helping them with their growth and new business strategies and advising them on what the client community is seeking.

Results driven, customer focused and internationally experienced connector, influencer and builder of communities. More “biz dev” than “marketing”.

In this role I focused on building two communities of influencers for Adobe.

Firstly - a vibrant and diverse community of multi-platform web and mobile developers, designers and Adobe advocates. This was done through a variety of online and offline strategies including social media outreach and insights, events both large (1500) and small, email marketing, PR, customer case studies and webinars.

Secondly - I built Adobe a community of digital advertising agencies across Europe. These core customers were pivotal in creating early adopters for Adobe's latest software and in amplifying Adobe's stories.They were the key seeding ground for new web technologies and I worked with them to get them creating and delivering amazing experiences to help reinforce the Adobe brand.

Finally, I delivered a lot of events, conferences and sponsorship deals including:

Adobe's first participation in Cannes Lions Advertising Festival
Adobe MAX EMEA - the first European focused web developer conference
Numerous 3rd part Flash and developer focused conferences
Digital Podge- developed Adobe's first sponsorship with this influential industry group of agency MDs and Creative Directors
Creative Social (creative directors network) - sponsored their various events globally
Sr Marketing Manager Web Platform Solutions

Strategic marketing for Adobe's Flash platform solutions in the web designer and web developer markets across EMEA. Working on areas such as Web 2.0 and 3.0, IPTV, and Rich Internet Applications. Products I cover include Adobe AIR, Flex, Flash and Flash Media Server. I work extensively with our eco-system partners to foster and build long term relationships with key interactive agencies, broadcasters, the digerratti, professional associations, blogger/journalists, and technology partners.
