Title | The World Piece (138s) |
Brief | Travel search engine Momondo believes travelling unites us. But the world seems more divided than ever. So it challenged people from all over the world to connect, regardless of nationality, religion and skin colour. Not just as a statement, but as a lifelong commitment. Out of 6,000 applicants, 61 volunteers were chosen to offer their bodies as a canvas. Each person got a personalised tattoo, but when they all stood shoulder to shoulder, the tattoos seamlessly connected into a single artwork, creating a permanent bond between them. |

Story | Travel search engine momondo believes that everybody should be able to travel the world because traveling unites us. But in a world where 1 out of 2 think we have become less tolerant towards other cultures, the world seems more divided than ever.By asking “How far would you go to bring the world closer together?”, we challenged people from all over the world to connect, despite nationality, religion and skin colour. Not just as a statement but as a lifelong commitment.Out of 6,000 applicants we chose 61 people who were willing to offer their body as a canvas. Each person got a unique, personal tattoo, but when standing shoulder to shoulder the tattoos seamlessly connected into a larger piece creating a permanent bond between them.By creating the world’s biggest connecting tattoo, we proved that we are all members of the same tribe: the human beings. |
