Story A little girl tells us that her name has made living a normal life almost impossible. At school, her teacher feels odd when he calls her name. Bullies pick on her because of her name. In fact, she admits, she prefers cruel nicknames to her real name. First dates are mostly spent explaining her name. But her parents chose the name because they love her. Because they want her to have a successful future. Her name? John. Because research has shown that there are more CEOs named John than there are women CEOs altogether.
Philosophy All around the world women in the workforce face huge barriers. Working mothers are discriminated for not being with their children.
Young girls are kept away from careers because of gender stereotypes. Paychecks aren’t fare. The pay gap goes as high as 36,65% in some countries.

And then there is the phenomenon known as “The Glass Ceiling”. When giving promotions, women are usually not even considered, specially for the hierarchy positions within their corporations. This is why there are so few women CEOs, and so few role models girls can look up to.
Forbes Women Power Summit It's a space dedicated to recognize the impact and added value that women bring to the world of business, business and the economic development of the country.
