Gabriela Revilla Lugo is a Producer, Writer, and the founder of Revek Entertainment. In 2013, she produced Damien Chazelle’s,Whiplash, which won the Sundance Jury Selection Short Film Award. The feature film went on to win Sundance Jury Selection the following year and took home several Academy Awards.
In 2014 Lugo produced Warner Bros and Blumhouse’s, The Gallows, which was made for $250K and grossed over $40M domestic. She oversaw Summer Forever, helmed by director Roman White, which was The film is distributed by Disney's Makers Studio.
In addition to traditional media platforms, Lugo also has extensive experience in the emerging VR space. Her company produced, Gone, a project for distribution on the Samsung VR platform, produced in conjunction with David Alpert and Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment; creators of The Walking Dead series. She also produced the Tribeca VR darling, Holidays, with Scott Stewart and Seth Green.
In 2016, Lugo was the Executive Producer of the highly anticipated film, The Tribes of Palos Verdes, staring Jennifer Garner as well as Forest Whitaker and Tom Wilkinson's, Burden, both produced by Robbie Brenner of The Dallas Buyers Club. In 2017, She was Executive Producer on Saint Judy staring Michelle Monaghan, Common, Alfred Molina, and Alfre Woodard.
Under Lugo’s guidance, Revek Entertainment oversaw physical production with Hyde Park Entertainment (Blue Valentine) on Followers, a feature cast with top social media influencers. Lugo aided in a number of pickups for films such as Fam-i-ly staring Orange is the New Black’s Taylor Schilling and Molly’s Game, an upcoming drama written and directed by Aaron Sorkin that stars Jessica Chastain along with Idris Elba, Kevin Costner, and Michael Cera.Revilla Lugo is a graduate of the Fox Writers Intensive program and is repped by the United Talent Agency (UTA) in Beverly Hills.
