Provide rostered duty at the Swanston Library Information and Information Delivery service points, including evening shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
Provision of technical support for Macs and PCs for both students, academic staff and Library staff at rostered service points.
Assist with the delivery of information literacy and orientation programs, including the preparation of both printed and Web publications.
Investigate the needs of and provide enhanced library services to users with disabilities, and off campus and flexible delivery students.
Provide advanced Information Literacy and orientation programs.
Assist with the selection of resources in specific subject area and maintain special collections requiring particular treatment.
Training of Library staff to use new networked software and hardware.
Maintenance of current awareness regarding developments in the PC and Internet area and networking technology area, both within RMIT, and externally.
Running and maintaining the External Library.
Scanning documents and creating a database for the External Library for academic and research purposes.
Liaise with nominated customer groups to establish partnerships that facilitate teaching learning and research within the University by developing relevant collections, providing input into design and development of curriculum and marketing the Library's services and resources (External Library).
Contribute to the strategic direction setting and policy making processes of the Library by participating in working parties and committees.
