About me

Alvaro is a Peruvian strategist with over 11 years of experience in agencies like Wunderman, MullenLowe and Grey. Moved to Dubai four years ago to head Wunderman Thompson Dubai's Strategy Department and in July 2020 moved to Virtue Worldwide, the agency born from VICE, as Head of Strategy for Middle East and Africa. He has over 80 awards and recognitions from national, regional and international award shows like Effie (MENA, LATAM and Peru), WARC, Dubai Lynx, El Ojo de Iberoamerica, MMA, IAB, Adforum, among others.

Alvaro has also been an instructor and guest speaker for several advertising schools like Miami Ad School (Peru), Escuela Superior de Creativos (Argentina), Brother (Peru), Planning Academy (Costa Rica), industry events like ‘Consumer Profile 2019’ (Costa Rica) as well as a professor, guest speaker and visiting lecturer for several universities in his home country and UAE.
