I grew up the ranks quickly at Garvan and also had the benefit of working in many different departments - traffic, production, media, finally resting in my favorite area, account management.

Most of my accounts were in the financial sector, including big money center banks like Chase, Citi and Bank of New York and smaller community banks like Roosevelt Savings Bank, Long Island Trust, Williamsburgh Savings Bank. I also worked with tech companies, hospitality and manufacturing.

As Senior Vice President, I supervised all Account Executives with an eye towards organic expansion of existing accounts, and directed the agency's pitches. During my tenure, we nearly doubled the billings within the current client base and had a successful 70% win rate among our new business pitches.

My tenure at Millennium was during the "dot.com" craze. I lead the integration of the "traditional" side of the agency business with the "interactive" side when "church and state" was in play for these two facets.

As such, Millennium grew to become one of the first truly integrated (to use an over-used word) agencies bringing together cutting edge interactive technologies with tried and true marketing strategies. Guess what? That still works today.
