Alison grew up on Cockatoo Island in Sydney harbour, surrounded by industry and the sea. It was a childhood fuelled by creativity and imagination. She went on to become a classically trained composer specialising in ethnomusicology and, paradoxically, playing in electronic dance bands.
Alison, and her GrooveQ partner Dave Smith, translate the ideas of clients and collaborators into the emotional language of music. Many career highlights in 2016 include; two major rebranding campaigns for FOXTEL’S Lifestyle channels and STAN (Music & Sound Design), Identity Branding for STAN original content, a major brand campaign for AMEX Rewards (Music & Sound Design), ABC TV Music & Sound Design for ‘Meet The Mavericks’ 3 TV Series (Australian artists, performers and cultural leaders discuss the arts and their place), Music & Sound Design for Short animation film ‘The Spring’ (featured at Cannes 2016), and Music & Sound Design for Short film ‘F Meat’ which picked up awards around the world.
