Story | Chinese smartphone giant Vivo is tapping into the spirit of Ramadan with a new campaign featuring its moonwalking mascot Mini V trying to help people take the right selfie. Released in Indonesia, the two-minute commercial shows Mini V attempting to brighten his neighbourhood’s day with acts of kindness, balloons and its Michael Jackson-inspired moves. The video takes a darker turn when a gang attacks the mascot in a rain-soaked alleyway, shattering his confidence. However, as the community breaks their fast, the neighbours rally around Mini V, showing him a selfie that says ‘Kangen Mini-V’ (Miss you Mini-V). The ad ends on a happy note as the mascot dons the suit once more. |
