I've been a hands-on manager in all my roles and love being involved in the full cycle from customer acquisition through to sale and growth strategy. Supporting this is strong experience in capital raising, and the subsequent finance and resource decisions that underpin all successful businesses.

In the first few months with TRIBE I hustled through successful seed funding rounds, led the direction of the app build, hired an A grade team, constructed our go-to-market strategy and pushed the button on launch. Soon after, traction and growth quickly came and within a year I have now raised over $8M in investment capital - making TRIBE top 5 funded in the space globally. TRIBE is now well positioned for international expansion.

Shoply Ltd. (ASX: SHP) is a listed eCommerce retailer, with sizeable positions in a variety of b2c and b2b industries.

Financially I had full P&L responsibility of my $14.84mil division and managed the growth strategy which saw the business's topline run-rate boom from $3mil to $26mil over 18 months. From a corporate point of view, this gave me strong ASX board exposure with first hand experience in investor presentations, full cycle M&A and business integration.

The highlight of my time at Shoply saw my 20 person division significantly contribute to record financial results in company revenue, cash receipts and gross margin (Dec 2014).

This was accomplished through aggressive ATL, social and digital marketing, and the complete re-design and re-platforming of the Your Home Depot website. I led the product development with specific focus on mobile revenue and new customer acquisition, resulting in a YOY 12% lift in site revenue. The site is now ranked in the top 100 ecommerce websites in Australia (Power Retail, 2015).

BYNAKED.PL was an e-commerce site selling globally sourced designer furniture. I conceived the business after identifying a global trend for affordable designer furniture and aligning this with a boom in e-commerce in Poland. I personally sourced manufacturers in China and a web development company in Poland who built the platform; the site was launched 5 months after conception with a low-price market entry strategy and a successful PR campaign which generated sizeable consumer and press interest.

Over the following 6 months, BYNAKED.PL excelled against competitors in site traffic, customer service, marketing activities and sales. This time was also used to adapt the business to market conditions and continually innovate the business model, catalogue and marketing. As of September 2013, the BYNAKED.PL website, brand and marketing collateral was successfully sold to the multinational retailer Infurn Holdings.

Joshua Group (www.joshuagroup.pl) was my first business in Poland. I launched the company in 2007 after seeing a noticeable gap in the property market for fit-out services aimed at foreign investors. I invested 5000 PLN in a website which he promoted through property forums and local real estate agents. Once the first client was acquired, the business boomed and within the first 12 months turned over 2mil PLN - including winning a highly competitive contract to fit-out a full residential building.

During the busiest period, the company employed 30 contractors who were undertaking simultaneous fit-out projects in 5 cities across Poland. The company’s success was driven by my client and project management skills, along with a strong market presence through an effective website and networking with key business partners. In 2009, Joshua Mills Interiors changed its branding to Joshua Group which helped it win fit-out work for the commercial market, a local hotel chain as well as winning a major project management contract for a 12mil NOK luxury apartment redevelopment project in Sandefjord, Norway. Today the company operates with a very low cost base and continues to win sizeable contracts and undertake challenging and unique interiors with a high level of customer satisfaction.

TNS is the world’s largest customised global research company located throughout 72 countries and with its head office in London. My time at TNS was split between the Melbourne and London offices working as a project manager for Australia’s two largest accounts as well as International global clients Motorola, Vodafone and Nokia. My roles involved International project management and coordination with TNS offices in UK, USA, Germany, India, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and client offices in USA, UK and China; undertaking proposal writing, data collection, data analysis and presentation of results. My time at TNS provided me with strong skills in client management, data analysis, report writing and presentation of key findings with actionable recommendations.
