Entrepreneur, Business Leader & People Builder
On Sabbatical
September 2015 - December 2016 (1 year 3 months)
After having co-founded, built and sold a highly successful communications business, and taken a senior executive role within the Publicis Healthcare Communications Group, I took a sabbatical. During this time I continued to act as a mentor to my former senior colleagues, and to lead the Women in Health Agency Management (WHAM) networking group. I am also Chair of the Judges for the 2016 and 2017 Communique Awards.

Publicis Healthcare Communications Group
January 2015 - August 2015 (7 months)

During this time I also founded an informal networking group for female leaders in healthcare agencies (Women in Health Agency Management, and was appointed Chair of Judges for the Communique Awards.
Managing Director
Publicis Life Brands Resolute
March 2013 - January 2015 (1 year 10 months)
Following the departure of my former business partner at the end of our earn-out, I took sole charge of this group of businesses, now capable of operating in a fully integrated way for some clients, but also delivering individually as strongly performing stand-alone brands (Publicis Life Brands, Publicis Life Brands Resolute and Real Science Communications).
Joint Managing Director
Publicis Life Brands Resolute
May 2010 - March 2013 (2 years 10 months)
Following acquisition, Resolute Communications was renamed Publicis Life Brands Resolute. As part of the acquisition, we took responsibility for a UK based healthcare advertising business, Publicis Life Brands and built what PR Week described as "the first in a new wave of integrated healthcare communications agencies," bringing PR thinking and discipline into the healthcare advertising space. We attracted new creative leadership and built a strong reputation, winning numerous awards. Publicis Life Brands Resolute became an international, integrated hub agency offering a wide range of healthcare communications disciplines, from branding, core creative strategy and development through to global digital strategy consulting alongside PR and medical education.
Co-Founder, Joint CEO
Resolute Communications
December 2001 - May 2010 (8 years 5 months)
With minimal investment, but huge determination and drive, my business partner Paul Blackburn and I built a healthcare communications business that became a force to be reckoned with. We opened Resolute Communications in 2001, added a sister agency, Real Science, in 2007 and Resolute Communications Corporation, our New York offering in 2008, creating a highly profitable, fast-growing group of agencies (Intelligent Health Group) that won multiple awards. Resolute was the first independent healthcare agency ever to win the PR Week Consultancy of the Year (2005), amongst numerous other accolades from Communique, PR Week and Sabre.. In 2009 we decided to look for a partner to fund our expansion ambitions and in 2010 Intelligent Health was acquired by the Publicis Healthcare Communications Group (PHCG).
