Story Today, on the World Hepatitis Day, the Ministry of Health kicks off a campaign against all types of hepatitis. The Ministry is working towards raising people's awareness and engaging everyone in an effort to respond more vigorously to these diseases. To this end, nova/sb, which specializes in Public Interest Communications, has been commissioned to spearhead a nationwide campaign to inform the population. The World Health Organization (WHO) created the date, on July 28th, following a Brazilian proposal made in 2010. Since then, the month is called the "Yellow July." Hepatitis B and C — the main focus of this campaign — are invisible and silent diseases. Nonetheless, different messages will be put across for each target audience. The film on hepatitis B is targeted at 15- to 29-year-olds, who are enticed into getting vaccinated, and stresses out the ways of preventing the disease: by always using condoms and never sharing objects such as needles and nail pliers.
