As senior vice president and executive creative director for Jack Morton, the global brand experience agency, I lead creative for the Chicago office. I also lead our global Time’s Up/Advertising Task Force and sit on our global creative council, helping drive extraordinary work across the network.
I’m a writer by trade with nearly 20 years of experience inspiring teams to create attention-getting, results-netting, award-winning work. My team’s most recent wins include several Clios, Reggies and other awards for COVERGIRL Rantin’ and Raven — the first-ever all-female football pregame show. Prior to joining Jack, I was VP/Creative Director for Digitas in Chicago and San Francisco where I worked with a variety of global brands across the retail, automotive, CPG, health care, and home appliance industries. I earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree with honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia and live by the words of another Shel (Silverstein) in my belief that you should listen to the naysayers, “Then listen close to me: Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.”
Throughout my career, I've won awards and a bunch of new business, written scripts for Iron Chefs and baseball legends, and performed onstage at places like the House of Blues and the Highline Ballroom. But my proudest moments have been the quieter ones. Those times when I've read an unsolicited comment from a consumer or received a card from a team member even though it wasn't my birthday. Those moments when you know you've made a positive difference in someone's life. For me, that's what this (and life) is all about. Though winning awards and new business is really nice too.
