Things I don’t enjoy are a) changing the duvet cover and b) writing my bio. Liam Neeson and I have one thing in common: we’re both Irish. Then we’re opposites. I’m 5’2.5”, he’s 6’4” and unlike his character in Taken where he has a very particular set of skills—I have a very broad set of creative skills.
At Wieden+Kennedy Portland I use a lot of them. I direct work and teams on lovely brands like Airbnb, Nike, KFC—across strategy and creative (design and advertising). It fills me with happy feelings to provide mentorship and coaching to individuals and teams. I work on developing W+K's internal culture, new ways of working and department structures. Also continually scouting for recruitment and reviewing candidates with internal recruiters. And making damn sure we get that new biz.
