Philosophy | Marco Prestini has created a stunning spot for UNIQLO, deceptively simple in it’s appearance but complex in execution. A journey through the ages sees a woman shed layers of clothing over and over, in one take. Each outfit becomes more and more modern as she goes. Climbing from her carriage, she runs across a lush landscape, through a maze before finding herself looking out over a chateau in the distance. ] The resulting one-shot film is eye catching and technically impressive. Clothing was sourced and painstakingly customised to stay authentic and close attention to detail was paid to capture the whole film in one day. The Japanese version of “You Don’t Own Me” on the Directors’ Cut gives an otherworldly feel. Marco’s distinct visual style coupled with impressive yet subtle effects creates a distinct piece for the Japanese fashion brand reflecting the quality and heritage of the company. |
