From humble beginnings as a Trainee English Copywriter to heading the Creative Department at an ever hungry independent creative hot shop, Andrew's advertising journey has been interesting to say the least. Working at both local, independent and multinational agencies has given Andrew the chance to do great work for some of the biggest brands in the country and world, such as Unilever, Airtel, Sri Lanka Telecom, Ceylon Biscuits, Heineken and Elephant House, to name a few.
During his tenure as Creative Director, Magic Mango was awarded the Silver for Creative Agency of The Year - Rest of South Asia, by Campaign Magazine, the first independent agency to receive such as accolade. In addition to this, Andrew was one of the chief contributors towards Magic Mango making a strong showing at the inaugural Epica Awards held in Sri Lanka, following on many successes at the Effie Awards over the past few years, including being named the Most Effective Independent Agency of the Year.
Andrew has a great love for all things creative, and is an author of children's books in his spare time, most of which have only been heard by his own children. Having been a delegate at many global awards shows, including Cannes Lions and AdFest, Andrew has a great interest in the science behind award winning work as well.
