My name is Manolo Catalán Berce. I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and before starting to work in advertising, I’ve spent some time working as a planner freelance, runner in a production company, cadet in an exchange house, library item´s seller and supporting actor.
In early 2011 I’ve started working as a copywriter in Altheim. A small local advertising company. There, I developed campaigns for Clarín newspaper (one of the biggest in the country), Día%, Skip detergent (Unilever), and many more.
By mid-2012 I joined WeAreMashin, a digital agency where I developed digital campaigns to Pepsi, 7up, Mirinda, Rexona, Axe, and LadySoft.
In 2014, I switched to Grey Buenos Aires, where I worked for clients like P&G, Febreze, Pringles, Coca-Cola, Sprite, El Cronista Comercial (newspaper), and Molinos, for which I developed some integrated campaigns combining traditional advertising with digital ideas. Beyond that, I was part of the team that won the Disney pitch for the LATAM market.
In mid-2016 I started working at Saatchi&Saatchi Argentina as a senior copywriter for brands such as Tide, Beldent, Milka, Pampers, Head&Shoulders, and Fibercorp.
In 2018 I switched to BBDO Argentina where I made projects to Tulipán (condoms company), Morenita (coffee), YPF (fuel and energy), Ford, and Bayer.
Over these years, I have won more than 55 national and international awards in different prestigious advertising festivals. Amongst them 1 Grand Prix in Diente/CCA 2019, 2 Cannes Lions. With more awards in MMA Smarties, Effie Latam, Ojo de Iberoamérica, Effie Argentina, Lápiz de Platino, +Digital.
In November 2019 I left Argentina to live and work in Spain.
