Graphic Design - 40%
Must be creative while still delivering a consistent "look" in the design, layout, artwork and color for all promotional materials including brochures, flyers, posters, advertisements, T-shirts, swag, presentation material, logo design, exhibit material, print ads, banner ads, billboards, etc. Understands brand standards, makes decisions regarding brand guidelines and identifies opportunities for branding consistency.Helps to sustain and guide the creative process.Ensure all design requests are well developed and completed by deadline.Prepares print specifications and camera-ready art for all projects requiring printing. Works with copy center or vendors as necessary. Correctly archives and documents all projects once complete.
Photography - 35%
Maintains photo studio and takes headshotsCampus and event photography which includes but not limited to publications, websites, media releases and special events. Oversees photography archive database.Provides color correction and photo edits as needed. Maintains current digital, computer, and photographic knowledge.Recommends updated equipment and software for photography and image database maintenanceMaintains photo studio and takes headshots
Videography - 25%
Videotapes program material for production; makes technical and creative decisions regarding locations, appropriate lighting, shooting angles, placement and type of microphones, other audio needs, and other production issues.Edits, assembles, compresses and posts final audio/video program material.Oversees pre-production meetings for on-site shoots.Upon completion of a project, archives digital files and maintains a library of physical files for reference.Determines what camera equipment is necessary and obtains equipment.Transports, sets up, and operates various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production.Supports the team throughout the production process, which may include finding interview subjects, creating graphics, and presenting to management and other constituents.
Required Qualifications Qualified candidates must have excellent photographic skills and technical expertise with digital cameras and audio/video equipment and have strong computer skills, including fluency in Photoshop and related software, video editing, audio editing, web galleries, and internet research skills.
Also, must be self-directed and self-motivated, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to handle many wide-ranging duties at the same time. Must have strong planning skills, be detail oriented, and have strong interpersonal and community relations skills. Candidates must be able to accept and use constructive feedback for improvement, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work occasionally outside of regular office hours as needed. The ideal candidate will have the following:
Bachelor's degree in film, graphic design, web design, visual communications, advertising, multi-media or related fields required. Minimum of three years of graphics and web design.
