I am a marketing services professional that has worked across the United States, Europe and Australasia. For the first 10 years of my career, I held different roles in advertising agencies from an Assistant Account Executive to Client Service Director. After 10 years, I landed my first Managing Director role of an advertising agency. I've held Managing Director positions across three different markets and two continents. In 2008, I moved into a holding company CEO role overseeing more than a dozen marketing services companies.

Today, I am a marketing communications professional working across advertising (brand and retail), direct/CRM/data, digital, promotional marketing, public relations, experiential, media, masthead advertising, shopper marketing, brand consultancy, etc. I have worked across virtually every category of marketing activity including FMCG, healthcare, automotive, telecommunications, financial services, social marketing, tourism, etc.

I had a dual Australia and New Zealand role keeping my duties as CEO Clemenger Group New Zealand and adding the Chairman role of Clemenger BBDO Melbourne. Clemenger BBDO Melbourne was the largest company in the Australasian Clemenger Group network. In 2017, the agency won the most coveted creative awards globally including Global Agency of the Year at Cannes and Global Agency of the Year at D&AD

Appointed as CEO of the Clemenger Group New Zealand in October 2008. In that role I was responsible for more than a dozen marketing service companies including Colenso BBDO, Proximity New Zealand, Clemenger BBDO Wellington, .99, justONE, Touch/cast, Raydar, Porter Novelli and BrandWorld. I also sat on the board of Omnicom Media Group NZ (50% ownership) comprising four media agencies: OMD, Spark phd, Total Media and Dynamo Media. These marketing services companies comprise every communications discipline including advertising, direct marketing/CRM/data, digital, public relations, experiential, retail advertising, shopper marketing, promotional marketing, media, masthead advertising, brand consultancy, etc.

The Clemenger Group New Zealand is the largest and most diverse marketing services company in New Zealand. We are significantly bigger than our next two competitors combined and represent close to 40% of the media market through OMG. In 2013, Colenso BBDO was voted the number 1 agency in the world by the Big Won Report ahead of agencies ten times its size in every market of the world. And all this happening down here in beautiful New Zealand.

The Clemenger Group is majority owned by BBDO Worldwide (74%) and minority owned by staff in New Zealand and Australia (26%). Appointed as Managing Director of Clemenger BBDO Sydney during a significant period of change for the agency. The first year's focus was settling the clients, building the right executive team and identifying the right offer for the market. In addition to my appointment as Managing Director, in that first year we also appointed a new Executive Creative Director and a new General Manager/Client Service Director. We started with a brilliant Finance Director, an outstanding Strategic Planning Director and an excellent Production Director. Combined with the new appointments, we were a formidable team. This team remained together for more than five years.

Within the first three years of this new executive team, Clemenger BBDO Sydney was crowned the B&T Magazine "Agency of the Year". Clemenger BBDO Sydney went on to win the AdNews "Agency of the Year" titles in successive years. We were honored with these "Agency of the Year" titles due to our creative quality (awards won), new business success, financial performance, staff and client retention and agency culture. During the mid-noughties, Clemenger BBDO Sydney was a dominant force in Sydney (and our "May Parties" were legend).

The agency also became the dominant Effies (previously AFA Effectiveness Awards) winner year after year including the Grand Prix in 2001 and again in 2008. Clemenger BBDO Sydney also became the biggest single company in the Clemenger Group during this period. It was a lot of work but a lot of fun.

Group Managing Director for BBDO Warsaw Group comprising BBDO Warsaw, Media Direction and Sp!n Communications. Assumed responsibility in March 1994 for BBDO Warsaw - a struggling agency of 30+ people. Immediately implemented an aggressive restructure. Moved the agency from a 13th ranked outsider to Number 2 in the market over the course of three years.

Introduced a group structure with the formation of Media Direction as a separate and independent media strategy, planning and buying agency. Media Direction ranked in the top 5 media agencies in Poland from its inception. Later, formed and introduced Sp!n Communications as a full service public relations and experiential marketing agency. Sp!n Communications developed quickly and became the pre-imminent PR agency in Poland

The Melbourne Festival (MF) is a major international arts festival celebrating performing and visual arts for 16-17 days every October. Founded in 1986, the Festival brings in thousands of performers attracting in excess of 100,000 people each year. I was appointed to the Board of the Melbourne Festival in June 2016 to provide marketing advice and leadership given my background in performing and visual arts. The MF is one of the cultural highlights of the year located between the AFL Grand Final in September and the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival in November. There are strong Australian company performances and Australian artists as well as artists from Asia, Europe, the United Kingdom, North America and Latin America. The Melbourne Festival runs for 16-17 days every October
