From malnutrition due to dementia to the inability to eat with dignity, patients with neurodegenerative have a lot of problems at meal times, difficulties Taiwanese designer Sha Yao saw first hand when her grandmother came down with Alzheimer’s. So she invented Eatwell, a new tableware set that uses bright colours, innovative ergonomics, and clever design to help Alzheimer’s patients through mealtime.

McDonald’s has stepped up its use of emojis in its advertising with a new video ad featuring a city full of people with animated 3D emojis for heads. The fast food chain has previously used the popular mobile icons in its billboard promotions and is now continuing to align itself with the popularity of the communication tool with a colourful new French ad.
