Half of all people under 40 follow at least one travel influencer. So to promote the latest edition of the war game Call of Duty – “Warzone Pacific” – 72&Sunny asked 12 influencers to supply footage of themselves in an exotic locale. With the addition of some special effects, those videos were transformed into posts that depicted the influencers in a typical warzone scenario, geo-tagged to Call of Duty’s island @Caldera. The 12 posts generated 15.3 million impressions and 8.7 million views on Instagram – which is 6 times more than the game’s launch trailer.
