University videos with big views

One of our videos which we’ve recently been tootling the trumpet of is ‘Meet the World at SOAS’, a sterling example of Spectrecom Films’ expertise in crafting creative university content that also delivers a big audience.

Since being released online right at the end of August, ‘Meet the World at SOAS’ has picked up more than 44,000 YouTube views; impressive digits indeed for the higher education sector.

Bearing that in mind, we were inspired to delve back through the (relatively recent) Spectrecom archive and see which other of our university videos delivered similarly decent numbers of YouTube viewers.

First up, ‘What Makes an Elite Athlete?’, which was released online back in March. Produced for the University of East London and starring one of UEL’s most famous students, Team GB sprinter Adam Gemili, it’s picked up an impressive 33,000 YouTube views.

Next, is a quick-changing seamless scene made for Durham University. Entitled ‘An Experience Like No Other’, it’s picked up just shy of 50,000 YouTube views in a year.

However the reigning champ when it comes to racking up the YouTube hits is the sunny showcase film we made for the University of Aberdeen a couple of years back.

Laidback and rather lovely, it’s been viewed more than 244,000 times.
