Spectrecom welcomes new Head of Film

The Spectrecom family of filmmakers has just got a little bigger, thanks to the addition of Ged Cleugh, who has joined us as our brand new Head of Film.

With 12 years’ experience as an award-winning producer and director, Ged is going to be working right across our humble video production company, in order to help develop the skills of the team and take our work to the next level.

His ideas, expertise and energy will feed into the creative concepts we submit to our brand and corporate clients, and he’ll be supporting our in-house TV development team too – a task he’s ideally equipped for thanks to his broadcast background.

But his primary role will be managing our roster of in-house filmmakers, supporting them with training and development, and introducing updated quality control measures to ensuring we’re always delivering to the absolute highest standards possible.

Says Ged about his arrival: “I’m very excited to be at Spectrecom and working with the talented filmmakers we have here.”

“I think it’s an exciting time of development and growth for the company, and I’m looking forward to working with all the team to raise the bar in terms of delivering high quality content – be it corporate, broadcast or branded.”

A native of Liverpool, Ged was partway through studying for a degree in medical implants when he became involved with the BBC at Pebble Mill in Birmingham, thus setting him on the career path he’s been following ever since.

It’s a path which has taken him all around the world, and into all extremes of temperature too; he’s filmed in both the 50°C sizzle of Abu Dhabi and the -121°C deep freeze of a Slovakian cryotherapy chamber.
