Story You see a young guy who's received a black eye from some bikers on a beach. The bikers are listening to 'Metal FM' off their V.2288 Mobile phones and the young guy is searching for karatee lessons on his phone. Also shown are the three coloured phones, the features of phone, for radio and internet, and the 'social life support' strapline and web address.
Philosophy The advertising was designed to be innovative and quirky in feel. To appeal to the young target audience that the V.2288 mobile phone is aimed at. This irreverant styling then enables the campaign to stand out from the crowd of competitve advertising.
Problem McCann's were asked to produce advertising to launch the new V.2288 mobiles phone, with built in FM raido and WAP Internet. It was to promoted as the most desirable, fashionable, hippest and irreverant mobile phone on the market.
