Story | The launch of Apple Music in 2015 was the latest innovation in the history of sound. So the film chronicles 127 years of sound recording and consumption, from Edison’s phonograph in 1888 to early record players, 8-track tapes and on to CDs, alongside the evolution of radio. Finally, the story arrives at digital streaming. But the film also shows music in the context of cultural, sexual and youth revolutions. Great changes in society always happen to a soundtrack. |
