Philosophy Rather than tread the well-worn ‘traditionally crafted, artisanal quality’ story typical of cheese advertising, Dairy Farmers of Canada shares a new story for Canadian cheese. Inspired by a mosaic of traditions, peoples and tastes, The agency created ‘Mia & Morton’, a short, animated film about a creative young cheese-maker and her traditional dad. Spanning the period where Mia grows from child to young woman, Morton's creatively crafted cheeses perennially come up just a little short at the annual international cheese championship. The music Production company re-imagined the classic Fleetwood Mac track "Don't Stop," with a simpler cover performed by Canadian folk sensation Rose Cousins. The film’s emotional soundtrack emulates the journey the family undergoes over the years. As the song builds, with inspiration from Mia and family pet Monty, the cheese-makers persevere together, bringing home a momentous grand prize.
