Story | The film is about a little girl unveiling the magic of electrification. With all her curiosity, she explores potatoes as a source of energy to create her own toys and devices. |
Philosophy | Electrification is a far-reaching concept going beyond products, and it is part of Volvo Car Brasil’s DNA. The environment is a key concern for the brand, which is committed to making only hybrid and electric vehicles over the next years. To celebrate this landmark moment for the country and widely spread the idea of electrification, the brand launches the film “Potatoes”, its first a 100% Brazilian campaign. The film is about a little girl unveiling the magic of electrification. With all her curiosity, she explores potatoes as a source of energy to create her own toys and devices. A Grey Brasil’s creation, the movie “Potatoes” highlights Volvo Car’s commitment to producing only hybrid and electric vehicles as of 2021. The campaign on air until December, will be nationally broadcasted both on paid TV and online, with 60, 30 and-15-second ads. Electrification has a strategic role within the brand’s journey. By the ends of this year, Volvo will have installed about 700 free electric vehicle charging stations throughout Brazil. These stations will be integrated with Waze and Google Maps and compatible with any car brand or models. Volvo has recently launched its first free parking lot for electric and hybrid cars, and all of its dealerships offer Volvo Wallbox, a home charging station for anyone interested in easily installing this system at their houses or work premises. |
