Story | Faced with the climate crisis, Cabify has decided to take action by becoming the first carbon-neutral mobility app in Latin America and Europe, offsetting the C02 produced by each trip by planting native trees in the South American Amazon.The challenge was to communicate this to all the users of mobility apps, so that they can offset their carbon emissions regardless of the app they are using, thereby creating a positive impact on the planet.A website was created where the users of the other apps had to upload the receipt for their trips with the competition. Then, with the data of these users and the help of an algorithm, the CO2 produced in each trip was measured based on the kilometers traveled. The process ended with a calculation of how many trees had to be planted to neutralize the CO2 produced. |
