Philosophy Our solution was to send our copy as a graphic element to highlight the one-in-seven statistic. The result is a solid black box on a white page. The black box represents the starving people of the world. Everyone who looks at it asks , "Are there really that many people starving?" Sadly, we always have to answer yes.
Problem World hunger is far more serious than anyone realizes. One in every seven people in the world goes hungry and in the next year over 10 million people could die of starvation. The World Food Program is in desperate need of money to help.
