| Philosophy | Brand strategy and storytelling agency MNSTR is launching a multi-million pound international advertising campaign for adidas Originals, with a strong emphasis on ‘new nostalgia’, referencing the early 2000s in its styling and creative and musical direction. The campaign, which will run across 15 countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Israel, India and Turkey, includes TV, cinema, digital and poster work, alongside a series of retail activations. adidas Originals is the part of adidas dedicated to lifestyle, fashion, and heritage products. Home to many collaborations with fashion designers, celebrities, and cultural figures, it’s associated with some of the major cultural movements of the last few decades, thanks to the communities who have adopted it. The new campaign continues to assert adidas’ cultural and musical influence, with the themes of celebration, togetherness and originality. Club Originals, conceived by MNSTR, uses the iconic adidas trefoil as a symbol. With an original remix of the 00’s house hit, King of my Castle, the new campaign is using the party scene of the 90s and 2000s to target a Gen Z market of inclusive and creative people.
