| Brief | OPPORTUNITY:During the winter of 2022, the biggest event in football was approaching. But we weren't official sponsors of the event - which meant that we couldn't really talk about football, anywhere in the world. But Mastercard has been the longstanding sponsor of football and UEFA Champion's League. So we decided to take the sport out of the world.IDEA & IMPACT:We planned a sponsored sporting event outside the restrictions on the ground, by taking the game above the ground - all the way to the stratosphere!We selected seven football fans online to play alongside football legend Luis Figo in this record-breaking zero-gravity match. The stunt involved creating a specially engineered field abode an A310 aircraft which flew over a span of 16 parabolas at over 20,000 ft above sea level. A never-before-seen feat in sports and entertainment. And one that helped us get recognition across the world with 107 million impressions across the world and a gross reach of 6.6 billion. Oh, and also a pretty epic world record for the highest altitude match ever. |
