Philosophy | McDonald’s didn’t want to wait until the law was in place, but took action before the summer to send a message of responsibility. The replacement of plastic drinking straws with sustainable paper straws therefore had to be initiated early and had to be accompanied in such a way that it was perceived as a responsible and typical decision by McDonald’s. Getting a major brand to commit to such an innovation-driven idea is a major challenge. |
